Third Security Staff 2001 LLC was a specialized investment vehicle and management entity affiliated with Third Security, LLC, a venture capital firm led by Randal J. Kirk. The company primarily functioned as a holding entity for equity interests in various biotechnology and life science corporations, most notably Precigen (formerly Intrexon) and Halozyme Therapeutics.
