Thoughtonomy is a technology company that developed an intelligent automation platform designed to provide a "Virtual Workforce" for enterprises. The company's software combines robotic process automation (RPA) with artificial intelligence and machine learning to automate complex, end-to-end business processes. In the healthcare sector, Thoughtonomy gained significant traction through its work with the UK's National Health Service (NHS), where its platform was used to automate administrative tasks such as GP referrals, patient scheduling, and data entry. Thoughtonomy was acquired by Blue Prism in 2019 for approximately $100 million and is now part of the SS&C Blue Prism business unit within SS&C Technologies.
