Company intelligence / Profile preview
ThromboVision was a medical device company focused on the development of point-of-care diagnostic systems for assessing platelet function. The company's primary product, the TV-100 Platelet Function Analyzer, utilized miniaturized light transmission aggregometry to measure platelet response to antiplatelet medications such as aspirin and clopidogrel. This technology was intended to assist physicians in identifying patients with drug resistance to optimize cardiovascular treatment regimens. By providing rapid results at the bedside, the system aimed to reduce the risk of thrombotic events in patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention. Despite achieving FDA 510(k) clearance for its device, the company eventually ceased operations and is no longer active.
