Thuris

Thuris was a biotechnology company focused on the early detection and treatment of Alzheimer's disease and other central nervous system disorders. The company developed the Thuris Brain Performance Test, a non-invasive diagnostic tool utilizing quantitative electroencephalography (qEEG) to identify neurophysiological markers of cognitive decline. In addition to its diagnostic platform, Thuris engaged in drug discovery efforts aimed at identifying small molecule therapeutics for neurodegenerative conditions. The company's approach integrated neurophysiology with pharmaceutical research to create a comprehensive CNS management strategy. Thuris was acquired by Great Lakes Chemical Corporation in 2002 as part of an expansion into the life sciences sector.
