Thyas

Thyas is a Kyoto-based biotechnology company specializing in the development of next-generation T-cell therapies derived from induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). The company's proprietary platform focuses on regenerating highly potent, "young" T cells that can overcome the exhaustion typically seen in conventional autologous T-cell therapies. By leveraging iPSC technology, Thyas aims to provide off-the-shelf, standardized immunotherapies for a variety of cancers, including both solid tumors and hematological malignancies. Their pipeline includes TCR-engineered and CAR-engineered iPSC-derived T cells targeting well-characterized tumor antigens such as WT1 and GPC3. The company was founded as a spin-off from Kyoto University's Center for iPS Cell Research and Application (CiRA).
