Tiara Medical Systems was a medical device company based in Lakewood, Ohio, that specialized in the development and manufacture of patient interfaces for sleep-disordered breathing. The company was best known for its innovative Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) masks and headgear, which were designed to improve patient comfort and compliance in the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea. Their products were recognized for ergonomic designs that minimized common issues such as air leakage and skin irritation. In May 2005, Tiara Medical Systems was acquired by ResMed, a global leader in the sleep and respiratory care market. The acquisition allowed ResMed to integrate Tiara's proprietary mask technologies into its broader portfolio of respiratory therapy solutions.
