Time Insurance Company is a healthcare-related financial entity that historically served as a major provider of individual and small-group health insurance in the United States. Formerly operating as the primary underwriting arm of Assurant Health, the company offered a diverse portfolio of medical plans, including major medical, short-term, and supplemental coverage. In 2015, its then-parent company, Assurant, announced a strategic exit from the health insurance market, leading the company to cease new policy sales and enter a runoff phase. In 2018, Time Insurance was acquired by Haven Holdings and relocated its operations to Puerto Rico. Today, the company focuses on managing its legacy blocks of insurance business and fulfilling long-term policy obligations.
