Transkaryotic Therapies (TKT) was a pioneering biopharmaceutical company based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, specializing in the development of therapies for rare lysosomal storage disorders. The company utilized a proprietary gene activation technology to produce human proteins for therapeutic use, which distinguished its products from traditional recombinant DNA methods. TKT's portfolio included Replagal for Fabry disease and Elaprase for Hunter syndrome, as well as Dynepo for anemia.
