Tata Medical Center Trust (TMC Trust) is a philanthropic charitable trust established in 2005 to govern and manage the Tata Medical Center (TMC) in Kolkata, India. Inaugurated in May 2011 by Ratan Tata, the center is a state-of-the-art, 431-bed integrated oncology facility dedicated to providing comprehensive cancer care, including prevention, early diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, and palliative care. The trust focuses heavily on serving underprivileged sections of society, earmarking approximately 75% of its infrastructure for subsidized or free treatment. In addition to patient care, the trust oversees the Tata Translational Cancer Research Centre (TTCRC) and Premashraya, a residential facility for outstation patients and their families.
