The lead compound MIC-Lx has demonstrated sustained safety and tolerability after a single application in kidney transplant recipients during Phase Ib trials. Five-year follow-up data show long-lasting donor-specific immunosuppression and increased regulatory B lymphocytes without loss of general immune competence or significant side effects. The ongoing Phase IIb study aims to further reduce standard immunosuppressive drugs while maintaining graft function and patient safety. Preclinical studies suggest potential efficacy in autoimmune diseases such as SLE and MS. The technology enables rapid manufacturing of personalized cell therapies within hours using leukapheresis-derived cells treated with mitomycin C.
