Topokine’s lead asset, XAF5 Ointment, was in late-stage clinical development for the reduction of undereye bags. In a Phase 2 randomized controlled trial, XAF5 met its primary endpoint with statistically significant and clinically meaningful reductions in undereye bags. A pivotal Phase 2b/3 study was initiated in January 2016. The second program, TAT4 Gel for nasolabial folds, entered Phase 2 trials. The company’s assets were protected by over 75 issued and pending patents worldwide.
