Toronto Research Chemicals ("TRC") is a leading Canadian life sciences company specializing in the manufacture and supply of complex organic small molecules—including analytical standards and stable isotope-labelled compounds—for biomedical researchers worldwide. Founded in 1982 by Dr. David Dime and now employing more than 450 staff across extensive laboratory facilities near Toronto/Vaughan Ontario, it offers a catalogue exceeding 350k unique chemical entities supporting pharmaceutical R&D across oncology, neurology infectious diseases/toxicology/environmental science/COVID‑19 diagnostics among others—but does not itself develop therapeutics or run clinical programs. In August 2019 it was acquired by UK-based measurement institute LGC Group’s Standards Division—a KKR portfolio company—and continues to expand its manufacturing footprint locally while serving customers globally from academic labs to major pharma companies.
