Torus Therapeutics was a Cambridge-based biotechnology company dedicated to advancing non-viral gene therapies through its proprietary tDNA platform. This technology aimed to deliver large DNA payloads that remain episomal and stable, potentially offering a safer and more redosable alternative to traditional viral vectors. The company's lead programs targeted metabolic and hematologic diseases, including Phenylketonuria and Hemophilia A. Founded and incubated by Atlas Venture, Torus sought to overcome the limitations of genomic integration and viral immunogenicity.
