Tower Biosecurity is a standalone biosecurity company that emerged from the transfer of Ginkgo Bioworks' Biosecurity segment in April 2026. The company is also identified as Perimeter Systems, Inc. and positions itself as an end-to-end biosecurity infrastructure platform that converts biological signals into real-time intelligence for threat detection, monitoring, characterization, and response. Its offerings are deployed across critical infrastructure settings such as airports, transit hubs, municipal wastewater systems, and conflict zones, and it serves government, national security, and enterprise customers in the U.S. and internationally. Rather than a therapeutics developer, the company operates in biodefense, biosurveillance, and public health infrastructure, combining detection systems, analytics, sample logistics, and AI-enabled biointelligence. The business launched with active programs in more than 10 countries and disclosed $60 million in growth capital at launch.
