Transgenic Sciences

Transgenic Sciences was a U.S. life sciences company focused on transgenic and gene-targeted animal technologies for biomedical research and drug discovery. The company developed and characterized genetically engineered mouse and rat models, offered phenotyping and functional genomics services, and supported target validation for pharmaceutical and biotechnology customers. Over time the business was referred to as DNX Transgenic Sciences and later Chrysalis DNX Transgenic Sciences. Historical sources indicate it became part of Taconic through Taconic's 2009 acquisition of Xenogen Biosciences, and Taconic materials now refer to Chrysalis DNX Transgenic Sciences as "now Taconic."
