Transition Therapeutics was a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on the development of novel therapeutics for central nervous system (CNS) disorders and metabolic diseases. The company's lead programs included ELND005, a small molecule for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease and associated agitation, and TT401, a dual GLP-1/glucagon receptor agonist for type 2 diabetes and obesity. Transition Therapeutics was known for its strategic partnerships, notably with Eli Lilly and Elan Corporation, to advance its pipeline through late-stage clinical trials.
