Company intelligence / Profile preview
Transluminal Technologies was a privately held U.S. medical device company focused on interventional cardiology and vascular closure technologies. The company developed minimally invasive cardiovascular devices that used proprietary absorbable biometals to achieve rapid mechanical vascular closure and hemostasis after percutaneous procedures. Publicly described products included the Velox CD bioabsorbable magnesium alloy closure device and Velox LB for large-bore vascular closure. In September 2020, Transluminal was acquired by Saint-Gobain Life Sciences and integrated into Saint-Gobain's Medical Components business, so it no longer appears to operate as an independent standalone company.
