Trees for the Future

Trees for the Future is a non-profit organization dedicated to ending hunger and poverty by training farmers in regenerative agriculture. The organization utilizes its signature 'Forest Garden Approach' to help smallholder farmers in developing nations, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa, restore their land and improve their livelihoods. By planting thousands of trees and diverse crops, the program aims to increase food security, income, and environmental resilience. Since its founding in 1989, the organization has planted over 300 million trees and impacted hundreds of thousands of people. In 2024, it was recognized as a UN World Restoration Flagship for its large-scale ecosystem restoration efforts.
