Triad Hospitals was a prominent owner and operator of general acute care hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers across the United States, primarily focusing on mid-sized markets and rapidly growing urban areas. Spun off from HCA Healthcare in 1999, the company expanded significantly through strategic acquisitions, most notably the purchase of Quorum Health Group in 2001. At its peak, Triad managed approximately 50 hospitals and numerous outpatient facilities, emphasizing a collaborative model with local physicians and community stakeholders.
