The company develops, manufactures, and markets chitosan-based bleeding-control and wound-management products under the OneStop, HemCon, and m.doc brands for trauma management, procedural care, dental use, and consumer self-care. Its technology originated from battlefield hemorrhage-control applications developed with the U.S. Army and was later expanded into hospital and pre-hospital settings. Tricol Biomedical acquired the HemCon hemostatic antibacterial wound-care product line in 2016 and now operates from Portland, Oregon, with a European operation in the Czech Republic.
