Trigen Holdings

Trigen Holdings was a London-based biopharmaceutical company focused on the development of novel antithrombotic therapies for cardiovascular diseases. The company's research centered on the coagulation cascade and platelet aggregation, aiming to create safer and more effective anticoagulants. Its lead clinical candidate, TGN 255, was a parenteral direct thrombin inhibitor that reached Phase 2 clinical trials for the prevention of deep vein thrombosis. Additionally, Trigen developed a pipeline of Factor Xa inhibitors and Glycoprotein VI antagonists. In 2006, the company was acquired by MediGene AG in an all-share transaction to expand MediGene's portfolio into the cardiovascular space.
