Trinovium

Trinovium is a UK-based biotechnology company dedicated to the discovery and development of novel cancer therapeutics targeting DNA repair mechanisms. The company was founded as a spin-out from the University of Oxford to exploit research into Tyrosyl-DNA phosphodiesterase 1 (TDP1) inhibitors. Trinovium's primary strategy involves using small molecules to inhibit TDP1, thereby preventing cancer cells from repairing DNA damage induced by topoisomerase I inhibitors like topotecan and irinotecan. This approach is designed to sensitize tumors to chemotherapy and overcome innate or acquired resistance. The lead candidate, TNV-101, is being developed for high-grade serous ovarian cancer and other solid tumors with high unmet needs. By focusing on the DNA damage response, Trinovium aims to provide more effective combination treatments for oncology patients.
