Triple-S is a Puerto Rico-based health insurance and healthcare services company operating primarily through Triple-S Salud and related insurance subsidiaries. The company is the leading managed care and insurance group in Puerto Rico, offering health, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, life, property, and contingency insurance products. Triple-S serves approximately 1 million members and holds exclusive rights to use the Blue Cross Blue Shield brand in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands through Triple-S Salud and Triple-S Advantage. In February 2022, Triple-S Management Corporation was acquired by GuideWell and continues to operate under the Triple-S brand as a wholly owned subsidiary. Its business is service- and payer-oriented rather than drug-development oriented, with offerings that include digital member tools, telehealth access, pharmacy services support, and health plan administration.
