Company intelligence / Profile preview
Tripos Discovery Research (TDR) was a prominent drug discovery service provider specializing in the design and synthesis of sophisticated small molecule libraries for the pharmaceutical industry. Originally a division of Tripos, Inc., the company was based in Bude, Cornwall, and utilized advanced cheminformatics and medicinal chemistry to accelerate lead optimization. TDR was known for its 'LeadHopping' technology and its ability to deliver high-quality chemical scaffolds for various therapeutic targets. Following the divestiture of Tripos's software business, TDR was acquired by Commonwealth Biotechnologies in 2007 and later by Albany Molecular Research Inc. (AMRI) in 2010. Today, its legacy and facilities are integrated into Curia's global R&D network, continuing to support drug discovery through specialized chemical services.
