TRIUMF Innovations

TRIUMF Innovations serves as the business interface and commercialization arm of TRIUMF, Canada’s national particle accelerator laboratory. It identifies, develops, incubates, and brings to market advanced technologies—especially in medical isotopes/radiopharmaceuticals—through partnerships with industry, academia, and government. The company has enabled at least five successful spin-off companies with more in the pipeline. Its activities span intellectual property management, fundraising support for startups emerging from TRIUMF research programs, licensing deals with industry partners worldwide, irradiation testing services for electronics/devices used in harsh environments like space or nuclear facilities—and entrepreneurship training programs for scientists.
