Company intelligence / Profile preview
Tucker Anthony was a prominent American investment bank and brokerage firm founded in 1892 that played a significant role in the financial development of the biotechnology and healthcare sectors. While not a drug developer itself, the firm was a key underwriter and research provider for numerous emerging life science companies during the industry's rapid expansion in the 1980s and 1990s. The firm merged with Sutro & Co. in 1998 to form Tucker Anthony Sutro, which was subsequently acquired by the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) in 2001. Its legacy continues through the healthcare investment banking and equity research divisions of RBC Capital Markets.
