Turner BioSystems

Turner BioSystems was a developer and manufacturer of high-performance optical detection systems for life science research. Based in Sunnyvale, California, the company specialized in luminometers, fluorometers, and multimode microplate readers designed for sensitive biological assays. Their product portfolio, including the Modulus and Veritas systems, supported a wide range of applications such as gene reporter assays, cell viability testing, and nucleic acid quantification. In March 2009, Turner BioSystems was acquired by Promega Corporation, a global leader in life science reagents and integrated systems. This acquisition allowed Promega to combine its proprietary reagent chemistries with Turner's detection hardware to provide complete workflow solutions for researchers.
