Company intelligence / Profile preview
U-BiSys was a Dutch biotechnology company focused on discovering and engineering human antibodies and antibody derivatives for therapeutic and diagnostic use. Its core technology platform, MAbstract, was a subtractive phage antibody-display selection system used to generate tailor-made human monoclonal antibodies. The company appears to have operated primarily as a platform and early-stage discovery business rather than as a clinical-stage developer, with no clear evidence of late-stage clinical assets under the standalone U-BiSys name. In 2000, U-BiSys merged with IntroGene to form Crucell, so it is no longer an active independent company. The company’s historical work contributed antibody discovery capabilities to the merged organization.
