Overview
BioSapien has developed MediChip™, a patented 3D printed drug-delivery platform designed for localized chemotherapy administration. The device is attachable directly to tissue at the tumor site, enabling slow-release of drugs with minimal systemic side effects. Clinical trials in the UAE are set to begin enrolling patients in Abu Dhabi in Q2 2025. Early data suggest significant reduction of common chemotherapy side effects such as hair loss while allowing patients to maintain daily activities during treatment[2][3][7].
