Company intelligence / Profile preview
UAF Technologies and Research (UTR) is a technology transfer and intellectual property management company established by the University of Arizona Foundation. Founded in 2003, the company was primarily created to manage and commercialize a portfolio of 33 patents donated by Procter & Gamble, which included a variety of small molecule inhibitors for infectious diseases and oncology. In 2008, UTR assigned its therapeutic assets to Arisyn Therapeutics for clinical development, including lead compounds such as ATI-0810 for Hepatitis C and other candidates for HIV and various cancers. The company serves as a strategic vehicle for the University of Arizona to bridge the gap between donated or academic IP and commercial biotechnology ventures.
