Uni-Sankyo

Sanzyme is an Indian pharmaceutical and biotechnology manufacturer formerly known as Uni-Sankyo Limited, founded in 1969 as an Indo-Japanese joint venture with Sankyo, now Daiichi Sankyo. The company focuses on human-derived gonadotropins for infertility and assisted reproductive technology, sex hormones, and specialty probiotics, and it also offers contract manufacturing services to pharmaceutical partners. Sanzyme operates dedicated API and finished-dose manufacturing capabilities, including EU GMP-certified facilities and an integrated manufacturing and R&D site in Genome Valley, Hyderabad. Historically, Uni-Sankyo pioneered probiotics and certain fertility-related hormone products in India, and the business today markets itself under the Sanzyme name while Sanzyme Biologics serves the ingredients and probiotic strains business.
