UniRedentor

UniRedentor is a Brazilian private higher-education institution based in Itaperuna, Rio de Janeiro, best known for its undergraduate medicine program and broader health-related education offerings. The institution was founded through Sociedade Universitária Redentor, was formally accredited in 2002, and later became part of Afya in 2019. UniRedentor has offered on-campus undergraduate medical training, other health-related degree programs, postgraduate education, and community-facing clinical services through its teaching clinic. In August 2025, the institution began operating under the name Afya Centro Universitário Itaperuna RJ, reflecting tighter integration with Afya's medical education network in Brazil. Although it is healthcare-adjacent through medical education and clinic services, it is not a biotech, pharma, or therapeutic product company.
