Unisone

Uni-Sone is a clinical-stage biotechnology company based in Japan that is pioneering the development of Sonodynamic Therapy (SDT) for the treatment of hard-to-treat cancers. The company's core technology involves the use of ultrasound to trigger sonosensitizing agents that have accumulated in tumor cells, leading to the production of cytotoxic reactive oxygen species and subsequent tumor necrosis. This localized approach aims to minimize systemic side effects while effectively targeting deep-seated tumors like pancreatic cancer and glioblastoma. Uni-Sone is currently advancing its lead candidate, US-101, through clinical trials in collaboration with major Japanese medical institutions.
