Company intelligence / Profile preview
Universal Health Care was a Florida-based healthcare management organization (HMO) and Medicare Advantage provider that operated primarily in the southeastern United States. Founded in 2002, the company grew rapidly to serve approximately 140,000 members across Medicare and Medicaid programs. However, following allegations of financial mismanagement and regulatory scrutiny, the company was ordered into receivership and liquidated in 2013. At its peak, it was one of the largest private employers in St. Petersburg, Florida, before its insolvency led to a total cessation of operations.
