University Physician Associates

University Physician Associates (UPA) is a non-profit multi-specialty physician group that serves as the faculty practice plan for the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) School of Medicine. The organization employs over 600 physicians and healthcare providers who offer clinical services across more than 30 specialties, including internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, and emergency medicine. UPA operates primarily in partnership with University Health (formerly Truman Medical Centers) in Kansas City, Missouri, providing the medical staff for the health system's hospitals and clinics. In addition to clinical care, UPA is deeply involved in medical education and clinical research, supporting the academic and scientific missions of UMKC by participating in numerous clinical trials and studies. The group plays a vital role in the regional healthcare infrastructure, combining advanced patient care with the training of future medical professionals.
