Upstage Lung Cancer

Upstage Lung Cancer is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to increasing awareness and funding research for the early detection of lung cancer. Founded in 2008 by lung cancer survivor Hildy Grossman, the organization uniquely utilizes music and the performing arts to raise funds and reduce the social stigma associated with the disease. Upstage Lung Cancer has invested over $4 million in research partnerships with leading institutions such as the MIT Koch Institute and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Their primary focus is on supporting the development of non-invasive diagnostic tools, including blood, breath, and urine tests, to identify lung cancer at its most treatable stages. The organization also produces the "Backstage @ Upstage" podcast and hosts educational concerts to engage the patient and medical communities.
