UT Medical Group

UT Medical Group (UTMG) was the private clinical practice arm of the faculty of the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) in Memphis. As a multi-specialty academic group practice, it provided a wide range of healthcare services across various medical and surgical specialties while supporting the university's missions of education and research. In 2015, the organization underwent a significant restructuring where its clinical operations and physicians were integrated into University Clinical Health and other regional healthcare systems like Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare and West Cancer Center. This transition effectively ended UTMG's role as an independent clinical entity, shifting its focus toward the academic and administrative support of the UTHSC faculty.
