VacEquity Global Health

VacEquity Global Health is a social enterprise biotechnology company established as a joint venture between Imperial College London and Morningside Ventures. The company was founded to develop and distribute a low-cost, self-amplifying RNA (saRNA) vaccine platform, initially targeting the COVID-19 pandemic. Unlike traditional mRNA vaccines, saRNA technology allows for significantly lower dosages, potentially reducing costs and simplifying manufacturing for global access. VacEquity aims to ensure equitable access to life-saving vaccines in low- and middle-income countries through a mission-driven business model that waives royalties for these regions.
