Vale Chemical Company

The Vale Chemical Company was a pharmaceutical manufacturer headquartered in Allentown, Pennsylvania, active throughout much of the 20th century. The company specialized in the development and production of a wide range of pharmaceutical products, including analgesics, sedatives, and treatments for hypertension. Known for its portfolio of small molecule drugs such as Rauval and Valacet, the company served the domestic U.S. market before its acquisition in the late 1980s. Its operations were eventually integrated into larger pharmaceutical entities following a series of mergers and acquisitions involving Hauck Pharmaceuticals and Jones Pharma.
