Valens Labs

Valens Labs was a Canadian cannabis analytical testing and research laboratory based in Kelowna, British Columbia, and operated as a subsidiary within The Valens Company. The lab provided ISO/IEC 17025-accredited third-party testing services required by Health Canada, including impurity, potency, terpene, microbial, residual solvent, pesticide, mycotoxin, metal, and ingestible product analyses. It also collaborated with Thermo Fisher Scientific under the "Centre of Excellence in Plant-Based Science" banner to develop validated, standardized testing solutions for the cannabis industry. Following SNDL's acquisition of The Valens Company in January 2023, the lab business has been presented publicly as SNDL Labs, and a later federal corporate record for "VALENS LABS LTD." shows it was amalgamated into Valens Agritech Ltd. effective January 1, 2024.
