Valid Nutrition is a social enterprise and research-driven organization dedicated to the prevention and treatment of malnutrition through the development of highly fortified nutritional products. Founded by Dr. Steve Collins, a pioneer in the community-based management of acute malnutrition, the company focuses on manufacturing Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Foods (RUTF) and Supplementary Foods (RUSF). A core part of their mission is the innovation of plant-based, locally sourced recipes, such as the Soya-Maize-Sorghum (SMS) RUTF, which aims to reduce costs and dependency on imported milk-based ingredients. By establishing manufacturing facilities in developing countries like Malawi, Valid Nutrition combines humanitarian impact with local economic development.
