Valley Research was a prominent biotechnology company specializing in the development and manufacture of enzymes for the food, beverage, and dietary supplement industries. Founded in 1984 and based in South Bend, Indiana, the company established itself as a leader in providing high-quality, non-GMO enzymes, including amylases, proteases, and lipases. Its products were essential for diverse applications such as dairy processing, juice and wine production, brewing, and the manufacturing of dietary supplements. In July 2008, Valley Research was acquired by Royal DSM (now DSM-Firmenich) to bolster its DSM Food Specialties division. The acquisition integrated Valley Research's extensive enzyme portfolio and technical expertise into DSM's global operations, enhancing its ability to serve the growing demand for natural and healthy food ingredients.
