Company intelligence / Profile preview
ValueOptions was a premier managed behavioral healthcare company that provided comprehensive mental health and substance use disorder services to over 45 million individuals. Formed in 1998 through the merger of Value Behavioral Health and Options Health Care, the company served a diverse client base including health plans, federal and state governments, and multi-national corporations. Its core business focused on clinical care management, provider network development, and employee assistance programs (EAP). In 2014, ValueOptions merged with Beacon Health Strategies to form Beacon Health Options, which became the largest independent behavioral health company in the United States.
