VARNZ (Velvet Antler Research New Zealand) is a biotechnology joint venture between the New Zealand Game Industry Board and AgResearch, dedicated to the research and commercialization of deer velvet antler extracts for therapeutic use. The company leverages the unique regenerative properties of deer antlers—the only mammalian organ that fully regrows annually—to develop treatments for wound healing, bone health, and physical performance. Its lead product, RepaiRx, is a bioactive extract being evaluated for its ability to accelerate the healing of chronic and non-healing wounds.
