Vasogen

Vasogen developed immune modulation therapies targeting chronic inflammation in cardiovascular and neurological conditions. Its lead product, Celacade, completed a large Phase III trial in chronic heart failure but failed to meet the primary endpoint overall; however, a major sub-group did show benefit. Celacade received CE Mark approval in the EU and was partnered with Grupo Ferrer Internacional for commercialization in Europe and parts of Latin America. The company also had an early-stage neurodegenerative disease candidate, VP025. In 2009, Vasogen merged with IntelliPharmaCeutics to form IntelliPharmaCeutics International Ltd., effectively ending its independent operations.
