VCCC Alliance

VCCC Alliance is an Australian cancer research, education and clinical collaboration organization centered in Victoria. Established in 2009, it brings together 12 leading hospitals, research institutes and universities to improve cancer prevention, detection, treatment and survivorship through coordinated programs rather than through ownership of a proprietary drug pipeline. The alliance supports multidisciplinary cancer research, clinical trials capability, workforce education, consumer engagement and system-level models of care across Victoria and beyond. It is closely associated with the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre building in Parkville, which houses Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, University of Melbourne cancer research activities, Royal Melbourne Hospital cancer services and the alliance headquarters. For biotech-style profiling, it is best understood as a healthcare and research consortium rather than a therapeutic product company.
