Vector Securities International was a premier boutique investment bank dedicated exclusively to the healthcare and life sciences industries. Founded in 1988 by a group of senior healthcare investment bankers from Kidder, Peabody & Co., the firm provided a range of services including corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions advisory, and equity research. During the 1990s, it became one of the most influential advisors in the emerging biotechnology sector, helping many early-stage companies go public or find strategic partners. The firm was headquartered in Deerfield, Illinois, and maintained a significant presence in the industry until its acquisition by Prudential Securities in 1999.
