Overview
Venaxis developed and commercialized the CE Marked APPY1 rapid blood test for appendicitis. In September 2016, it acquired BiOptix Diagnostics to pivot toward advanced molecular detection platforms using Enhanced Surface Plasmon Resonance. The combined company focused on improving and commercializing the ESPR-based "404pi" system for real-time biomolecular interaction analysis relevant to pharma/biotech R&D. Venaxis ceased to exist independently after this transaction.
