VentureLink Brighter Future Fund Inc. was a Canadian retail venture capital fund, specifically a Labour-Sponsored Investment Fund (LSIF). Managed by VL Advisors Inc., the fund focused on achieving long-term capital appreciation by investing in early-to-mid-stage Canadian companies across various technology sectors, including biotechnology, software, and telecommunications. The fund's portfolio included notable life science investments such as Cytochroma, a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on vitamin D-based therapeutics. In 2010, the fund was amalgamated with other VentureLink entities to form the VentureLink Innovation Fund Inc., which was subsequently merged into Covington Fund II Inc. in 2011. Throughout its operation, the fund provided Canadian retail investors with exposure to high-growth technology and healthcare startups while offering provincial and federal tax credits.
