Venturelink Fund

VentureLink Fund was a Canadian venture capital firm and labour-sponsored investment fund (LSIF) headquartered in Toronto, Ontario. Established in 2001, the fund focused on providing venture debt and equity financing to early- and growth-stage Canadian companies, with a significant emphasis on the biotechnology, healthcare, and information technology sectors. Managed by VentureLink Capital Corp, the fund's portfolio included notable life science companies such as Cytochroma, Millenium Biologix, and PharmAthene Canada. As an LSIF, it offered tax incentives to Ontario residents to encourage investment in local small businesses. In October 2022, VentureLink announced the en bloc sale of its remaining venture assets and initiated a formal winding-up process to return capital to its shareholders. The fund is no longer active and has transitioned to a liquidation phase.
